The Revere Minutemen will square off against the Firelands Falcons at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Revere is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games.
Revere barely beat Tallmadge the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Minutemen put the hurt on the Blue Devils with a sharp 10-1 win on Wednesday. The Minutemen might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by six runs or more this season.
AJ Hall spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

Anden Bender
04/09/25 @ Tallmadge | 3 |
03/29/25 @ St. John | 2 |
05/13/24 vs Holy Name | 2 |
05/04/24 @ Roosevelt | 2 |
04/25/24 vs Cuyahoga Falls | 2 |
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Anden Bender, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Tyler Frate, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
Bender wasn't the only one making solid contact: Revere kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Firelands). They came out on top against Keystone by a score of 5-2 on Wednesday.
Firelands also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and he was also dialed-in: Aidan Cummings gave up just two earned runs on five hits.
On the hitting side, Jeremy Stepp was excellent, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 2-for-3. AJ Ridenour was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
Revere pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.6 runs over those games. As for Firelands, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4-1.
Revere came out on top in a nail-biter against Firelands when the teams last played back in April of 2023, sneaking past 15-14. Will the Minutemen repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
