The Metro Tech Knights won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Monday. Their tough 74-52 loss to Fairfax might stick with them for a while. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Metro Tech in their matchups with Fairfax: they've now lost five in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Metro Tech lost, one person who can't be blamed is Ace Zambrano. Despite the final result, he scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and six steals. Zambrano hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Oswaldo Lopez Vargas, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds.
Metro Tech has traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-22 record this season. As for Fairfax, their win bumped their record up to 9-13.
Metro Tech does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Fairfax also has no future games currently scheduled.
