The Tekoa-Rosalia Timberwolves managed to keep up with the Chewelah Cougars until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Tekoa-Rosalia ended up on the wrong side of a rough 66-45 walloping at the hands of Chewelah. Tekoa-Rosalia was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Chewelah apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
When it comes to explaining why Tekoa-Rosalia lost, one person who can't be blamed is Isaac Bone. Despite the final result, he scored 25 points along with seven assists and five rebounds. The game was Bone's tenth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Vanden Allen, who scored five points along with nine rebounds.
Tekoa-Rosalia's defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 4-6. As for Chewelah, their win bumped their record up to an identical 4-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tekoa-Rosalia will take on Colton at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Colton is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak. Chewelah will finish 2023 at home by hosting Rosalia at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
