The Berean Academy Eagle put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against Lookout Valley by a score of 62-49. Given Berean Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 158th, while Lookout Valley is ranked 426th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Austen Harvey, who scored 25 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Berean Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Barret Hasley, who scored ten points.
Berean Academy pushed their record up to 9-0 with that win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Lookout Valley, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-14.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Berean Academy will challenge Cedar View Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Cedar View Christian and Berean Academy are at an even 3-3 over their past six head-to-heads. Lookout Valley and Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts will face off at 8:00 p.m. on January 12th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.
