Meanwhile, Winfield entered their tilt with Nitro on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of  6-2.

Meanwhile,  Ilderton   pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   two  hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't  given up  more than one  walk in six consecutive appearances. At the plate,  Keiffer  went 1-for-3 with two  stolen bases and three  runs, while  Ilderton  went 2-for-3 with three  RBI. Those  three  runs gave  Keiffer a new career-high.
 In other batting news,  Ean Cox was  excellent,  going 1-for-3 with two  stolen bases and two  runs. He is  on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as he's  now  snagged  at least one in each of the last three games he's  played. Another player making a difference was  Brayson Downey, who  went 2-for-3 with one  stolen base and one  RBI.
 Winfield's record now sits at 16-6. As for Riverside, their loss dropped their record down to 7-14.
 Riverside beat Winfield 8-4  when the teams last played  back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
