The Peekskill Red Devils lost against the Lakeland Hornets back in December of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Peekskill was outmatched by Lakeland on the road and fell 60-15. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Peekskill has scored all season.
Peekskill lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Amari Murphy, who scored seven points. Murphy scored a full 46.7% of Peekskill's points, the ninth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Peekskill's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Lakeland, their win bumped their record up to 1-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Peekskill will take on Hendrick Hudson at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Hendrick Hudson focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Saturday. As for Lakeland, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Gorton at 4:30 p.m. on January 15th.
