The Cypress Creek Bears posted their closest victory yet this season on Thursday. They skirted past University 42-40. The win made it back-to-back wins for Cypress Creek.
Despite the loss, University still got an impressive performance from Jacqueline Leap, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 20 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Leap has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Laura Martinez, who scored seven points along with six rebounds and two steals.
The win got Cypress Creek back to even at 5-5. As for University, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.
Cypress Creek will head out on the road to square off against Freedom at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for University, University and Winter Park will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Winter Park will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
