The Casady Cyclones can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They managed a 40-34 win over Kingfisher. For Casady, this counts as revenge for the 71-59 loss Kingfisher walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2020.
Casady found their leader in underclassman Kaden Leache, who scored 15 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Payton Mitchell-johnson, who scored nine points.
Casady's win bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Kingfisher, their loss dropped their record down to 4-13.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Casady will take on Lexington at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kingfisher, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Weatherford at 8:00 p.m. on January 30th. Weatherford presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Kingfisher in Oklahoma (Weatherford is ranked 23rd, while Kingfisher is ranked 314th).
