For Horizon Science Academy, this counts as revenge for the 65-51 loss Patriot Prep Academy walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2023.
Khiryn Mcneal was the offensive standout of the match as he dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Roland Kargbo, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds and seven steals.
Horizon Science Academy pushed their record up to 7-7 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.0 points per game. As for Patriot Prep Academy, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-5.
Horizon Science Academy will head out on the road to take on Grove City Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Grove City Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Saturday. As for Patriot Prep Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against KIPP Columbus at 7:00 p.m.
