The Flinthills Mustangs won against the Cedar Vale/Dexter Spartans on Tuesday with 35 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. Flinthills walked away with a 35-23 victory over the Spartans. That's two games straight that Flinthills has won by exactly 12 points.
Despite the defeat, Cedar Vale/Dexter saw an underclassman step up: Gracie Webb scored eight points.
Flinthills is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Cedar Vale/Dexter, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Flinthills will take on the Bluejays at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Caldwell will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings (they are ranked 358th, while the Mustangs are ranked 126th). As for Cedar Vale/Dexter, they will play host again and welcome the Red Raiders, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
