With a playoff win on the line, Hamilton Southeastern rose to the challenge on Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 57-39 victory over the Valparaiso Vikings. The win continues a trend for the Royals in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won eight in a row.

Hamilton Southeastern's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kennedy Holman, who posted 11 points in addition to eight boards and six assists. That's the most rebounds Holman has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Maya Makalusky, who went 6-for-13 to rack up 16 points.

Holman wasn't the only one working in the assist department: Hamilton Southeastern was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Valparaiso only eight assists.

Valparaiso's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Lillian Barnes, who earned ten points, and Cadynce Clark, who put up 11 points. Barnes has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last five times she's played.

Hamilton Southeastern's record is now 27-0. As for Valparaiso, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-8.

Hamilton Southeastern has already played their next game, a 67-61 loss against Warsaw on the 22nd. Valparaiso does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
