The Union Mine Diamondbacks will challenge the Argonaut Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Union Mine took a loss when they played away from home last Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed last Friday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Galt 8-7. The victory continues a trend for the Diamondbacks in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won seven in a row.

Kaylee Henkel made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, she posted five strikeouts, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ruby Luce, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Allysen Perrah was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Meanwhile, Argonaut waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They never let the Red Hawks get on the board and left with a 4-0 win. The Mustangs' pitching crew has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a run in their last three games.
Not much got past Hailey Dewald, who gave up just three hits and racked up seven Ks to keep Calaveras off the board. Dewald has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 13 consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Bri Bowers was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played.
Argonaut's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-3. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Union Mine, their victory bumped their record up to 3-7.
Union Mine might still be hurting after the 15-3 defeat they got from Argonaut in their previous meeting back in March. Will the Diamondbacks have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other softball content.
