Meanwhile, Adams City had to endure a ten-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 37-28 win over Montbello on Tuesday. The Eagles' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Thomas Jefferson better keep an eye on Evelyn Reyes. She was instrumental in Adams City's win, dropping a double-double on 18 rebounds and ten blocks. The dominant performance also gave Reyes a new career-high in steals (eight). Berenice Torrecillas was another key player, posting seven points along with eight boards and three steals.
Adams City's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-9. As for Thomas Jefferson, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.
