North Daviess has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the North Central Thunderbirds at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, North Daviess didn't have too much trouble with Shoals at home as they won 44-27.
Meanwhile, North Central was fully in charge on Saturday, breezing past White River Valley 67-35 on the road. The win was just what North Central needed coming off of a 89-54 loss in their prior game.
Among those leading the charge was Trashaun Cockrell, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 10 assists. The matchup was his third in a row with at least ten points. DJ Suggs was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
North Daviess now has a winning record of 2-1. As for North Central, they now also have a winning record of 2-1.
Everything went North Daviess' way against North Central in their previous meeting back in December of 2022 as North Daviess made off with a 65-41 victory. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was North Central's Wyatt Ison, who scored 22 points along with 6 rebounds.
