Motley County is 0-10 against Jayton since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Motley County Matadors will head out on the road to take on the Jayton Jaybirds at 6:30 p.m. Motley County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1542nd, while Jayton is ranked 351st).
Motley County won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Tuesday. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 63-40 walloping at the hands of Guthrie.
Meanwhile, Jayton can now show off 19 landslide victories after their most recent contest on Tuesday. They blew past Paducah 91-25 at home. Winning may never get old, but Jayton sure is getting used to it with their 17th in a row.
Motley County's loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Jayton, their win was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 28-3.
Motley County took a serious blow against Jayton in their previous meeting back in January, falling 87-6. Can Motley County avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
