The St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute Marauders will challenge the Bishop Timon-St. Jude Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Tuesday, St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute humbled St. Francis with a 75-45 victory. The Marauders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 24 points or more this season.

St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute relied on the efforts of Jaymeir Goosby, who went 8 for 15 on his way to 17 points and five steals, and Nate Blenman, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten boards. Blenman has been hot, having posted eight or more rebounds the last five times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Gionni Zelasko, who posted five points.
Meanwhile, Bishop Timon-St. Jude entered their tilt with The Park School of Buffalo on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Pioneers by a score of 70-61. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 79th, while the Pioneers are ranked 370th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Bishop Timon-St. Jude had a senior duo take command as Damien Johnson went 6 of 11 from beyond the arc on his way to 27 points and six steals and Nakyhi Harris almost dropped a double-double on 22 points and nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Johnson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaron Hicks, who put up seven points in addition to five assists and five steals.
Bishop Timon-St. Jude smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in five consecutive contests.
Bishop Timon-St. Jude's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-2. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 22.5 points. As for St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute, their win bumped their record up to 7-2.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute has crashing the boards this season, having averaged 32.4 boards per game. However, it's not like Bishop Timon-St. Jude struggles in that department as they've been averaging 34.3 boards.
