There's no place like home for the Hill City Ringnecks, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Tuesday. They took down Rawlins County 65-51 on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Hill City also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2017.
It was another big night for Dylan Gansel, who scored 21 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. He hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Carson Keith, who scored 12 points along with four steals.
Rawlins County lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Braxton Dixson, who scored 13 points. Brayan Rodriguez was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with two steals.
Hill City pushed their record up to 9-4 with that win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.8 points per game. As for Rawlins County, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.
Hill City will be playing at home against the Cardinals at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Kansas (Plainville is ranked 160th, while the Ringnecks are ranked 161st). As for Rawlins County, they will head out on the road to face off against the Cougars at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Cheylin focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 on Saturday.
