Carpinteria moved up to 355 from 399 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Tri-Valley. A 27-0 win over Fillmore helped the Warriors improve their standing.
Nordhoff extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating San Marcos, 55-7. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Rangers.
Nordhoff's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Tanner Workman threw for 325 and three touchdowns and Jake Boyd had 99 yards receiving. On the ground Matt Woodcock chipped in 224 yards. Eric Lara helped Nordhoff's passing attack out by catching three balls for 95 yards.
Nordhoff's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Rangers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Workman has thrown for 1173 yards and 16 touchdowns this season, while Lara has 23 catches for 471 yards. Tayler Livingston leads the league in rushing with 593 yards.
A big matchup in Tri-Valley this week will be when Carpinteria takes on Bishop Diego. Ben Hallock's team is currently in third, while the Cardinals are in second.
Tony Henney's team took down the Royals 55-7 last week, the largest margin of any game. Workman in the win.
