Cumby has gone a perfect 8-0 against Yantis recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Trojans will welcome the Owls at 4:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Cumby has three straight wins, Yantis has 11 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Cumby is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Fruitvale a 16-0 shutout on Friday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Trojans considering their two-run performance the contest before.

Jace Evans made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. Evans was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Montgomery Benton, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2025. Gunner Campbell was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Cumby kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Yantis fell victim to Alba-Golden and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Panthers, falling 10-0.
Cumby's victory bumped their record up to 4-14-1. As for Yantis, their loss dropped their record down to 1-11.
Everything went Cumby's way against Yantis when the teams last played back in April of 2025, as Cumby made off with an 11-5 win. Will the Trojans repeat their success, or do the Owls have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
