Baseball Game Preview: Roger Bacon Spartans vs. Cincinnati Country Day Nighthawks

For the second straight game, Roger Bacon will face off against Cincinnati Country Day. The Spartans will square off against the Nighthawks at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Roger Bacon's hitters haven't had much luck over their past three matches, but Thursday's contest will give them a chance to turn things around.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Roger Bacon and Cincinnati Country Day meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Tuesday. The Spartans fell 5-2 to the Nighthawks.

For Cincinnati Country Day's part, they let Levi Guttman and Nate Paumier run wild. Guttman scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-3, while Paumier scored a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Casey Newman also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Roger Bacon's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Cincinnati Country Day, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
