After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Peyton, the Fowler Grizzlies were happy to have found some success on Friday. They took down Crowley County 38-23. That's another feather in the cap for Fowler, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Fowler's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Randi Maestas, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Gracie Osborne, who scored ten points along with two steals.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Crowley County struggled to work together and finished the game with only an assist. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Fowler racked up 13 assists.
Fowler has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. As for Crowley County, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-6.
Fowler will head out on the road to take on Thomas MacLaren School at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Crowley County, they will be playing at home against Holly at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Holly has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
