The Sabino Sabercats had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They were the clear victor by a 68-46 margin over Paradise Honors. Sabino might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won five matchups by 21 points or more this season.
Mason Cade was a one-man wrecking crew for Sabino as he rushed for 374 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 16.3 yards per carry. Cade really tore up the turf during one magnificent 73-yard run. The team also got some help courtesy of Cameron Hackworth, who threw for 116 yards and two touchdowns while completing 85.7% of his passes.
When it comes to explaining why Paradise Honors lost on Saturday, one person who can't be blamed is Gage Baker. Despite the final result, he threw for 522 yards and seven touchdowns while completing 71.9% of his passes, and also rushed for 87 yards. Baker is absolutely dominating the passing touchdown category: he's posted at least three every time he's taken the field this season. Isaiah Thomas was in the mix as well, providing Paradise Honors with two touchdowns.
The win (which was Sabino's fifth in a row) raised their record to 11-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 41.2 points per game. As for Paradise Honors, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-3.
Sabino does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Paradise Honors also has no future games currently scheduled.
