The Pocomoke Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight defeat. They had to suffer through a rough 94-50 loss at the hands of Bennett. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Pocomoke in their matchups with Bennett: they've now lost five in a row.
Pocomoke's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lamarquis Douglas, who scored nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zymiere Walker, who scored eight points.
Pocomoke has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season. As for Bennett, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pocomoke will challenge Kent County at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Pocomoke focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Monday. As for Bennett, they will head out on the road to square off against Pocomoke at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
