Softball Recap: Wingate's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Wingate waltzed into their matchup on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Hot Springs Tigers as they made off with a 20-4 win. The Bears might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 contests by seven runs or more this season.

Wingate got a massive performance out of Sasha Johnson, who went 2-for-3 with five stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most doubles Johnson has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Savannah Reyes, who got on base in three of her six plate appearances with four stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

Wingate's victory bumped their record up to 14-10. As for Hot Springs, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-23 record this season.

As of now, neither Wingate nor Hot Springs have any future games scheduled.
