After a string of four wins, the Green Meadow Waldorf Warriors's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They were the victim of a rough 72-46 defeat at the hands of Varsity Opponent. Green Meadow Waldorf was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Varsity Opponent apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played last Friday.
Green Meadow Waldorf's loss came despite strong showings from Nathan Cooper and Ben Vaterlaus. Cooper scored 20 points, while Vaterlaus scored 16 points. Vaterlaus scored a full 34.8% of Green Meadow Waldorf's points, the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Green Meadow Waldorf's defeat dropped their record down to 4-1. As for Varsity Opponent, their win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 105-387-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Green Meadow Waldorf will stay at home for another game and welcome Varsity Opponent at 6:00 p.m. on December 8th. Varsity Opponent will take on Griffin Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
