Lake Ridge Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kathryn Krueger, who scored 15 points. That's the first time this season that Krueger scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lillian Shmois, who scored ten points.
Horizon Science Academy's victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-5. As for Lake Ridge Academy, their defeat was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-8.
Horizon Science Academy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against St. John at 6:00 p.m. on January 10th. As for Lake Ridge Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Open Door Christian at 6:00 p.m.
