 Moon Valley actually scored more points across those five sets (101-97), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 15-25, 25-18, 17-25, 25-20,  15-13.
Meanwhile, Thunderbird waltzed into their matchup  on Monday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They blew past the Matadors 3-0.
 Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-13,  25-19.
 Moon Valley better keep an eye on  Bailey Thornton. She was instrumental in Thunderbird's win,  getting six  digs and three  aces. That's the most  aces  Thornton has posted since back in September.
 Moon Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Thunderbird, they now  have a winning record of 12-11.
 Moon Valley suffered a grim  3-0 defeat to Thunderbird  in their previous meeting  back in September. Can the Rockets avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
