Calaveras is a perfect 4-0 against Riverbank since May of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Red Hawks will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bruins at 4:00 p.m. Calaveras is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
Calaveras' pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Summerville 12-0. The Red Hawks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by nine runs or more this season.

Kamryn Thornburg made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, firing off two home runs, three RBI, and one stolen base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kendra Baechler, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Taylor Verduzco was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Calaveras kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in seven consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Riverbank sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over Big Valley Christian on Friday.
Maya Guzman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on one hit and racked up 16 Ks.
On the hitting side, Briseida Felix was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two RBI, and one double.
Calaveras' victory bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Riverbank, their win bumped their record up to 4-7.
Calaveras' speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's matchup. The Red Hawks have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.5 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Riverbank, though, as they've been averaging only 1.4 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Calaveras continue to outrun the ball?
Calaveras got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in April of 2025 against Riverbank by a conclusive 15-2 score. Will the Red Hawks repeat their success, or do the Bruins have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
