Volleyball Recap: Blue Valley West Gets the Win

Blue Valley West had to kick off their season on the road on Saturday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Blue Valley Southwest Timberwolves. The win continues a trend for the Jaguars in their matchups with the Timberwolves: they've now won seven in a row.

Blue Valley West found their leader in sophomore NYAH HARRIS, who had three digs and three aces. The team also got some help courtesy of ALYSSA YOUNG, who had six digs and two aces.

Blue Valley West was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Despite the loss, Blue Valley Southwest still got an impressive performance from Melia Peters, who had ten digs.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Blue Valley West will look to takes advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they takes on Olathe West at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Blue Valley Southwest, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Lee's Summit at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
