The Durango Demons will venture away from home to  challenge the D'Evelyn Jaguars  at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Both come into the  contest bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
Durango took a loss when they played away from home  on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed  on Saturday. They came out on top against Palisade by a score of  4-2. Considering Durango's offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.
They hit Palisade with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from  Benjie Masterson (2),  Derek Caudle,  and  Jonas Hughes.
 Meanwhile, D'Evelyn came tearing into  Thursday's  match with three straight wins  (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 2.7 goals), and they left with even more momentum. Their defense stepped up to hand the Lobos  a   2-0 shutout. The final result isn't all that surprising considering D'Evelyn's considerable advantage  in MaxPreps' Colorado soccer rankings (they are ranked 34th, while Conifer are ranked 130th).
 D'Evelyn's victory bumped their record up to 11-3-1. As for Durango, their win bumped their record up to 8-6-1.
 Durango beat D'Evelyn 2-0  when the teams last played  back in November of 2021. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Demons since the  squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
