Grand Terrace dropped down to 3-3 on Friday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They took a 31-26 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rim of the World Fighting Scots. The Titans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Fighting Scots apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.
Titus Ramirez and Jaden Montano certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Ramirez picked up 118 receiving yards and one TD, while Montano threw for 169 yards and one touchdown.
As for Rim of the World, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 14.6 points on average this season.
Tatum Ortiz had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 301 yards and three scores while picking up 7.5 yards per carry. Those 301 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grand Terrace will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Colton at 7:30 p.m. on October 9. As for Rim of the World, they will head out to square off against Chaffey at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
