The Tilden Blue Devils were the 60-28 winner over the Kelly Trojans when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Tilden fell 37-24 to Kelly on Tuesday.
Several Blue Devils players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jayvion Banks, who scored 10 points along with 7 rebounds. Jose Pacheco was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 9 rebounds and 5 blocks.
Tilden's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Kelly, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tilden will take on Urban Prep-Englewood at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Kelly, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Instituto Health Sciences at 5:00 p.m. on December 6th.
