After flying high against Philadelphia Electric Charter on Friday, the Science Leadership Academy at Beeber Rockets came back down to earth. Science Leadership Academy at Beeber took a 61-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vanguards. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Sa'd Jamdaddin and Jahad Marable certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Jamdaddin scored 24 points, while Marable scored 18 points. Marable has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last six times he's played.
Science Leadership Academy at Beeber's loss dropped their record down to 13-7. As for Sun Valley, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 14-7.
Science Leadership Academy at Beeber will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Pumas at 3:15 p.m. As for Sun Valley, they will head out on the road to challenge the Longhorns at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. Unionville is on a nine-game streak of home wins, the Vanguards a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
