The Alva Goldbugs will take on the Kingston Redskins at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
With a playoff game on the line, Alva rose to the challenge on Friday. They came out on top against Chandler by a score of 16-6. The win made it back-to-back wins for Alva.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Alva to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cambell Gaisford, who rushed for 74 yards and a touchdown. Gaisford was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 60 yards.
Meanwhile, Kingston entered their tilt with Frederick with eight consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with nine. Kingston skirted past Frederick 30-27.
Alva now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Kingston, they have yet to lose a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 10-1 record.
