Coupeville had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. They took their game against Port Townsend on Friday 28-18. Port Townsend can consider this payback for the 12-61 loss they dealt Coupeville the last time the teams encountered one another. This was the first game for both teams, giving Coupeville a 1-0 record and starting Port Townsend off at 0-1.
Coupeville will be defending their home turf for the first time next week when they go up against Vashon Island at 6:00 PM. As for Port Townsend, they will face off against Kingston.
