Meanwhile, Peabody-Burns took a serious blow against the Eagles on Friday, falling 73-40. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Peabody-Burns in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now lost seven in a row.
Elyria Christian's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.9 points per game. As for Peabody-Burns, their loss dropped their record down to 2-12.
Everything came up roses for Elyria Christian against the Warriors in their previous matchup back in January of 2023 as the team secured a 60-22 victory. Will Elyria Christian repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
