The River Dell Golden Hawks will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against the West Morris Mendham Minutemen at 7:00 p.m. on November 2nd. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Thursday, River Dell didn't have too much trouble with Snyder on the road as they won 40-26.
Meanwhile, West Morris Mendham had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy 35-21 victory over Voorhees. West Morris Mendham pushed the score to 35-7 by the end of the third, a deficit Voorhees cut but never quite recovered from.
West Morris Mendham can attribute much of their success to Cole Capuzzi, who rushed for 160 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.6 yards per carry, and Kevin King, who rushed for 150 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 8.8 yards per carry. Capuzzi is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last three games he's played.
River Dell's victory bumped their record up to 2-7. As for West Morris Mendham, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-5 record this season.
