The Keystone Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Norwalk Truckers at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Keystone waltzed into their match Tuesday with three straight wins but they left with four. They blew past Clearview 68-44. The result was nothing new for Keystone, who have now won three games by 23 points or more so far this season.
Keystone can attribute much of their success to Liam Goran, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds, and Grant Hartley, who scored 24 points along with six assists and six rebounds. The match was Goran's seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Nagle, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Norwalk was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Saturday as they fell 69-64 to Ontario. Despite running the score up even higher than they did last Friday (58), Norwalk still had to take the loss.
Keystone now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Norwalk, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.
Keystone and Norwalk were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, but Keystone came up empty-handed after a 40-39 defeat. Can Keystone avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
