The Suitland Rams will head out on the road to challenge the High Point Eagles at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Suitland has five straight wins, High Point has 13 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Last Friday, Suitland beat Parkdale by the very same score they won with last week: 58-54.
Meanwhile, High Point was beaten by Bowie 81-50 on Thursday. High Point has struggled against Bowie recently, as their matchup on Thursday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, High Point got a solid performance out of Ibrahim Turay, who scored 22 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kadan Solomonraj, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and three blocks.
Suitland's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for High Point, their defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-8.
Everything came up roses for Suitland against High Point when the teams last played back in January of 2023 as the squad secured a 78-34 win. Does Suitland have another victory up their sleeve, or will High Point turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
