Providence Athletic Club had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 36-34 win over South Haven Christian on Saturday. The victory was nothing new for the Panthers as they're now sitting on eight straight dating back to last season.
Patrick Bennett was the offensive standout of the game as he threw for 191 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 passes, and also rushed for 37 yards and one score. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in August of 2024. A healthy portion of Bennett's aerial production (88 yards to be exact) went to Kyle McFarland.

Coming up, Providence Athletic Club will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Jefferson Davis Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for South Haven Christian, they will challenge Tri-Cities Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
