After both having extra time off, the Madison Blue Streaks and the Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin Lions will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
On Wednesday, Madison didn't have quite enough to beat Perry and fell 3-2.
Madison wouldn't go down easily and took Perry into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 20-25, 21-25, 25-20, 15-13.

Gracie Kless put forth a good effort for the losing side as she had 22 digs and four aces. She is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last four games she's played.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin took on Lake Catholic on Thursday. The Lions fell 3-1 to the Cougars. The Lions' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Lake Catholic a tough time in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 30-28, 23-25, 25-18.
Madison will have to contain Grace Loeser as she made an impact in Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin's last game. She had 13 digs.
Madison's record now sits at 5-16. As for Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin, their record is now 12-9.
Madison suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Blue Streaks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
