Gadsden City's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Destiny Whiteside, who posted 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Naomi Wise, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine boards.
Fort Payne's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 24-5. As for Gadsden City, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-15.
