A Season-Best Performance from Mitchell Labrado Leads Laguna Creek over Elk Grove
Sadly, Mitchell Labrado posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Laguna Creek over Elk Grove on Friday. Labrado threw for 281 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 38 yards. The performance marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in September of 2023. His passing game has become a key predictor of Laguna Creek's success: the team is 2-1 when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-4 otherwise.
Laguna Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. Labrado and Laguna Creek will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Sheldon at 7:15 p.m. on October 25th.
