The Logansport Berries were the 46-35 winner over the Maconaquah Braves when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Logansport took a 55-38 bruising from Maconaquah on Saturday. Logansport has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Logansport lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kellyn Cripe, who scored 13 points. Cripe scored a full 34.2% of Logansport's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Lydia Goad was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Maconaquah had a senior duo take command as Bailey Carson scored 17 points and Miranda Stoll dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. The game was Stoll's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Ireland Kile, who scored nine points.
Logansport's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Maconaquah, the win got them back to even at 6-6.
Logansport will head out on the road to face off against Peru at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Peru comes in still looking for their first win of the season. Maconaquah will be home for the holidays to greet Mississinewa at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Mississinewa focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Saturday.
