Early County found their leader in underclassman Jimmyan Jones, who scored 15 points along with four steals. Nathaniel Tinson was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five steals.
Early County has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. As for Mitchell County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Early County will take on the Pirates at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Miller County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 416th, while the Bobcats are ranked 150th). As for Mitchell County, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Indians at 7:30 p.m. on January 27th. Seminole County is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 60.3 points per game this season.
