Freeway recap November 13, 2013
Sonora scaled the state rankings by moving to 633 from 684 this week, the biggest jump in Freeway. The Raiders climbed the ranks as a result of beating Sunny Hills 29-26.
La Habra extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Buena Park, 21-14. This was the team's sixth consecutive win.
SCOTT LLOYD threw for 303 yards and 3 touchdowns. He was 23-32 with 0 interceptions.
DAMANI ROBERTS was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 123 yards on 17 carries as Fullerton fell to La Habra. LLOYD also contributed to the rushing game with 34 yards on the ground.
The Indians' LLOYD and JAMES HUBBARD led Freeway in both passing and receiving yards. 6-2 quarterback LLOYD has thrown for 2,269 yards this season, while HUBBARD has 48 catches for 956 yards. Deven Boston from Buena Park leads the league in rushing with 2,055 yards.
Fullerton's HUBBARD needs only 44 receiving yards against Valencia to crack 1,000 for the season. He has recorded 48 catches for 956 yards this year.
So far this year, Kyle Blumer has thrown for 1,844 yards with 16 touchdowns and 5 interceptions.
Gus Martinez/Ed De Avila's team was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fourth to second in the league. The Indians beat Troy 32-27 earlier in the week.
