After flying high against Roosevelt on Thursday, Washburn came back down to earth. The Millers took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Owatonna Huskies on Friday. The Millers' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Washburn got a good showing from Teddy Page, who pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

On the hitting side, Otto McDill made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double. Jackson Karn also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Washburn's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Owatonna, their win bumped their record up to 12-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Washburn will head out to take on Roosevelt at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Owatonna, they will venture away from home to square off against Northfield at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
