The Legacy Lightning won the last time they faced the Erie Tigers, and things went their way on Friday too. Legacy secured a 55-51 W over Erie. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Legacy.
Legacy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brandon Domsch led the charge by scoring 15 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Nathan Spradling, who scored 11 points along with three steals.
Erie lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Callen Gebhardt, who scored 15 points along with six assists. Lucas Lee was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Legacy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-6 record this season. As for Erie, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Legacy will face off against Broomfield at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Broomfield focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Friday. As for Erie, they will head out on the road to face off against Poudre at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Poudre is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home.
