Waverly lost to Plattsmouth 49-14 last week, the largest margin of any game. Zack Petersen ran for 117 yards in the defeat.
The Blue Devils led B District 2 in scoring this week after putting up 49 points on Waverly. Brandon Pick ran for 168 yards during the win.
Plattsmouth's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Connor Dukes threw for 156 and 1 touchdown and Cj Neuman had 139 yards receiving. On the ground Pick contributed 168 yards. Nolan Siemonsma helped Plattsmouth's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 17 yards.
Neuman was the best wideout in the league this week as Bob Dzuris' team topped Mike Johnson's team. Neuman tallied 4 receptions for 139 yards. Siemonsma helped Plattsmouth's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 17 yards.
Plattsmouth's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Blue Devils feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Dukes has thrown for 978 yards and 10 touchdowns this season, while Neuman has 27 catches for 494 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Plattsmouth takes on second place Nebraska City. Last week, the Blue Devils defeated the Vikings, while Nebraska City beat Platteview.
The Pioneers made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 7,749 from 8,575. The advance stemmed from a 20-7 victory over the Trojans last week.
