It was a good run, but the Tri-State Christian Huskies unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Friday. They suffered a tough 67-43 defeat at the hands of Quad Cities Christian. Tri-State Christian was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-20.
Despite the loss, Tri-State Christian still got an impressive performance from Will Cunningham, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds and five blocks. Another player making a difference was Nick Vannorsdel, who scored nine points.
Seth Karl continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Quad Cities Christian, scoring 21 points along with five assists and five steals. Karl is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last three games he's played. Zeke Agbezouhlon was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five steals.
Tri-State Christian's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-3. As for Quad Cities Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.
Tri-State Christian will play host again and welcome Faith Christian, where tip off is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Faith Christian is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road. As for Quad Cities Christian, they will challenge Rivermont Collegiate at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
